Feed the Bears: Crisis Communications with the Media

This program is useful to those in law enforcement, administration, leadership and those on the front lines when they are asked to respond to media requests during a crisis event. Based on past examples and research best-practices, the presenter(s) will share with you the importance of establishing these approaches prior to a crisis event and with an awareness that more than one person needs to be trained in terms of how to talk to the media. The webinar will address the challenges and speed of social media, the importance of regularly scheduled times to discuss crisis updates, and how to train staff on the front lines to re-direct questions and work within a larger system.
