Talking BITs: Supporting Students During Breaks

Friday, December 4th: 2:00pm-3:30 pm ET

Talking BITs will be held once a month on Fridays to bring NABITA experts and colleagues across the country together for an engaging discussion on BIT, case management, threat assessment, and school safety. Talking BITs are designed to be conversational, casual, and engaging so make these Friday afternoons with NABITA part of your socially distant but not disconnected routine!

HostsMakenzie Schiemann, M.S.
Join Makenzie Schiemann as she discusses how to bridge support and services for students while they are home, or away from classes, during school breaks. This Talking BITs will explore the following:

  • How to determine whether to close a case, keep it open, or monitor the student
  • Strategies for bridging support for students during break
  • Supporting students as they reenter the semester and start classes
  • Strategies for using  parents, family, and friends as support systems

NABITA reserves the right to record any of our courses. Participating indicates your assent to being recorded, and for that recording to be used by NABITA for any purposes. If you prefer not to be recorded, please contact us once you register, and we will make arrangements for your participation without identification.
