Bethany Holt serves as the Director of CARE and Support at Liberty University, where her team is responsible for providing case management services in conjunction with the CARE Team, and offering proactive support and outreach to students in need. Ms. Holt is also the chair of the CARE Team and oversees the referral process and campus wide education efforts. Ms. Holt holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and was a resident therapist for 2 years working toward professional licensure upon graduation.
Ms. Holt started her career in higher education as a conduct officer and served briefly as a Title IX investigator, before transitioning to be the first case manager for the CARE Team at Liberty University. Since her promotion to Director of CARE in 2018 she has worked to grow CARE and Support into an independent department, which became a reality in 2023. During her tenure, Ms. Holt has been fortunate to expand the office from one to a team of eight full-time staff members dedicated to case management and support coordination services. Ms. Holt enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, and can usually be found watching crime dramas, reading a good book, or working on a puzzle.
