Amber Manning-Ouellette, Ph.D., CCC

Dr. Manning-Ouellette is an Associate Professor in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Oklahoma State University, where she also holds the endowed Anderson, Farris, and Halligan Professorship for College Student Development. She recently served as Interim Vice President for Student Affairs at OSU from 2024 to 2025, providing senior leadership during a pivotal period for the institution.

A nationally recognized scholar-practitioner, Dr. Manning-Ouellette’s research centers on leadership education and learning, college student identity development and belonging, and postsecondary sexual health education and well-being. Her work is informed by diverse contexts including international student affairs, historical inquiry, STEM education, and gender. She is widely published in leading journals and edited volumes across higher education and student affairs such as the Journal of College and Character, the Journal of Women and Gender in higher Education, and the Journal of Leadership Studies. 

Dr. Manning-Ouellette brings more than 15 years experience in student affairs administration and higher education, having held roles in enrollment management, student success,, faculty development, and leadership education. She has also led global leadership initiatives and international student affairs collaborations, including coordinating a study abroad program in Stockholm, Sweden, Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Kenya, Africa. She is a 200 RYT yoga instructor, a certified mindfulness-based cognitive therapy instructor, and loves helping people (especially college students) learn about their bodies and mind.

Through her teaching, scholarship, and executive leadership, Dr. Manning-Ouellette continues to shape how institutions cultivate learning, leadership, well-being, and student support.
