The NABITA Internship Program – Behavioral Intervention, Threat Assessment, and Case Management Track is a paid, part-time internship designed for undergraduate, graduate, and recent post-graduate students interested in behavioral intervention, threat assessment, and case management across educational settings.

Interns will gain experience supporting consulting work, training development, research, and content organization that supports institutions nationwide.

What You’ll Work On

Intern responsibilities may include:

  • Research & Analysis
  • Conducting research related to behavioral intervention, threat assessment, and case management
  • Supporting whitepapers and conference presentation development
  • Tracking emerging trends and best practices
  • Training & Education Support
  • Developing training slides, handouts, and resource guides
  • Updating training content based on new guidance and best practices
  • Creating scenarios and knowledge checks
  • Participating in mock case simulations
  • Client Support & Deliverables
  • Supporting timelines, workflows, and project materials
  • Proofreading and formatting deliverables
  • Creating quick-reference tools for stakeholders

  • Hours: 10–15 hours/week

  • Compensation: $20/hour

A Look at the Work Our Consultants Do

Behavioral Intervention, Threat Assessment, and Case Management consultants help institutions identify and assess concerning behaviors, coordinate case management responses, advise on best practices, and provide training that strengthens prevention and intervention efforts.

The TNG Internship Program is a project-based educational internship focused on content development, research, and organizational support related to case management, behavioral intervention, and threat assessment across higher education institutions, K-12 schools and districts, and other organizations. This internship is not a law firm internship, does not provide legal training, and does not offer law school-style legal experience, including client representation, legal drafting, or legal practice hours. Applicants seeking traditional law firm or legal practice experience should carefully consider whether this program aligns goals.

That said, interns will have the opportunity to work alongside attorneys and subject matter experts and gain exposure to how practitioners support clients and the broader field in navigating compliance-related issues.

Applicants are responsible for determining whether participation in TNG’s Internship Program meets their institution’s requirements for academic credit, externship approval, or other programmatic purposes. TNG does not verify, coordinate with, or seek approval from academic institutions on behalf of applicants. Any required approvals must be obtained prior to acceptance into the internship program.
