Alisa Takala is a graduate social work student at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Before beginning her Master of Social Work program, she worked at a small private college within the realm of student success, with her proudest professional achievement being creating and implementing the college’s academic success program for students on academic probation. Her work stems from her commitment to helping individuals navigate challenges while addressing systemic barriers to well-being. Alisa serves as the Graduate Intern for the Office of the Assistant Vice President for Health and Wellness. She assists with the promotion and programming of the office’s CARE Team and provides assistance to students requiring absence support. Through her research and practice, Alisa seeks to create pathways for individuals to experience joy and fulfillment, personally and collectively.
