Prior to landing in Montana, Kate completed her undergraduate studies in English Literature and Humanities at Providence College, in Rhode Island. She was an active member of the Friar’s Club and Urban Action Team and studied abroad her Junior year in Italy and Ireland.
After serving as a Jesuit Volunteer in Missoula, Montana, Kate earned her Master’s degree in English as well as her teaching credentials in secondary education. After spending several years teaching middle and high school English and coaching the Varsity girls’ soccer team at Loyola High, Kate and her family relocated to Bozeman, Montana.
After spending nearly a decade teaching at Montana State in various departments, Kate is so proud to serve as a Case Manager in the Dean of Students’ Office, where she sits on the CARE and BIT teams and works with students in this unique time of transition and adolescent development. Kate is also working on her doctorate in American Studies, focusing her research on Land Grant Universities.
Kate and her husband Kevin love to lean into every season Montana has to offer, floating, skiing, hiking and cheering their kids on soccer pitches and cross country courses across the state!
