Laura Carper (she/her) serves as a case manager for the Student Care and Advocacy Team in the Dean of Students Office at the University of Dayton. In this role, she provides direct support to students, connecting them with resources to address barriers to success while honoring their unique needs and diverse experiences. Laura helps students navigate challenges, strengthen self-agency, and develop healthy help-seeking behaviors, contributing to a resilient and well-supported campus community.
Laura brings extensive experience in educational leadership including roles as an associate dean of students, case manager, high school teacher, and campus violence prevention educator. Her work in crisis response, student care and advocacy, and community health informs her approach to support network building to enhance and improve the student experience. As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), she integrates mindfulness and well-being education into care work, fostering an inclusive and responsive environment for students. Laura holds a Master of Liberal Arts and Sciences from UNC Asheville, a Bachelor’s in Secondary English Education from the University of South Florida, Associate of Fine Arts from St. Petersburg College, and is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Leadership for Organizations at the University of Dayton.
