Katie Setchell

Katie began her higher education journey as a resident advisor and went on to serve as a graduate student in residence life. From there, Katie found herself working full time as a resident director for her first full-time role, which ultimately led to her serving as a CARE liaison, within that department. This unlocked a passion for crisis response for Katie and led to her serving as the department point person for emergency management/preparedness, training, development, and crisis response. Serving as the CARE liaison showcased the world of case management to Katie, where she ultimately transitioned at her next institution to serve as a full-time non-clinical case manager. Today, she is serving as a coordinator in the Dean of Students Office at her current institution overseeing case management, student support, crisis management, and community standards practices.  These experiences have led Katie to having a fierce passion for emergency readiness and behavioral intervention strategies.
