EVENT AND PAYMENT POLICIES

All NABITA event registrants recognize that NABITA is not providing legal advice or acting in the capacity of legal counsel, and that registrant should consult their own legal counsel before relying or acting upon any advice or suggestions made by NABITA’s employees, consultants, or representatives in the course of their training programs. While this training may include compliance elements, NABITA offers no warranties or guarantees as to content, and accepts no liability for how the content is interpreted or implemented by registrants.

Dangerousness and violence, from a student, faculty, or staff member is difficult, if not impossible to accurately predict. Information in this training should not be seen as legal or psychological advice or as a guarantee or offer any assurance that violence will be prevented.

If paying by cheque, registration cannot be confirmed and product and/or service will not be delivered until payment is received. NABITA cannot reserve a seat, begin or renew a membership, or deliver a product without receipt of payment. Products/services are not transferable between individuals or institutions/organizations. Purchase orders do not constitute payment.

For all incoming payments received that are not made in the NABITA online store, a per-transaction limit of $5,000 for all credit card authorizations exists. Amounts due to NABITA in excess of $5,000 must be paid via cheque.

Refunds for incorrect or duplicate transactions under $999 will be returned in the same format the payment was received. All refunds over $1,000 will be returned via cheque within four weeks of NABITA’s receipt of the refund request.

Registration and payment is required prior to registration deadline and date of training. Fees apply to all attendees, including retainer clients.

Registration refunds are not available for weather- or travel-related delays or cancellations. Credit in the full amount of the registration cost will be applied in those situations.

Credits expire six (6) months from original purchase date and can be applied towards registration for an upcoming training, membership purchase or renewal, or any other purchase through NABITA. Any credit issued by NABITA is owned by the party that made the original purchase. Credits can be transferred within an institution/organization but not across institutions/organizations.

If you have an outstanding credit with NABITA, your credit can be redeemed towards the following products. You will be sent an invoice for items priced beyond your credit amount.

  • NABITA Membership
  • Any upcoming Training or Certification
  • Registration to the Annual NABITA Conference
  • Webinars
  • Resources

The parties will be entitled to make public representation of this engagement, membership, or registration, if desired, including but not limited to TNG Consulting, ATIXA, and NABITA marketing materials, social media, website representation, and media and public relations.

TRAINING EVENT REGISTRATIONS

Registration 

To register an individual attendee at Member Rates, the anticipated attendee must have an active NABITA Individual Membership or the organization must have an active Team or Super NABITA Membership. For more information on membership, please contact NABITA at (484) 321-3651.

Super Members can apply their training registration inclusions by contacting us here.

If you are a NABITA member and do not see member pricing appearing as it should, please contact us for assistance before checking out at a non-member rate.

Registration rate is based on your membership status at the time of registration. A single registration purchase cannot be split between multiple trainings.

Refunds

NABITA understands that circumstances change and events may arise that prohibit your ability to attend a training after you have registered. Our cancellation and refund policy is outlined below based on your registration:

  • Registration cancellation 8 weeks prior to regular registration deadline = 50% refund on the full registration price
  • Registration cancellation 4 weeks prior to regular registration deadline = no refunds on the full registration price

Registration cancellation forfeits training materials and any other associated promotion.

If you are unable to attend part of the training course, you will be provided with the option to transfer to the same training course at a later date. No refunds will be provided.

If an invoice is paid for a training but you are unable to attend, you must notify us within five business days of the original training event in order to transfer the registration. We will work with you to find a mutually agreeable training course and date. If a mutually agreeable training course is not scheduled at that time, you will receive a credit for the registration amount paid which will be valid for one year.

 Substitutions

Registration as an individual attendee:

If the originally registered attendee can no longer attend the training, NABITA will allow another individual from your institution or organization to attend in your place. If you do not wish to send someone in your place, you may apply a credit in full toward the cost of a future event, membership purchase or renewal, or other purchase with NABITA. If you do not want to bank a credit with NABITA, your registration will be refunded based on the schedule above.

Registration as a group of attendees:

If the originally registered attendees can no longer attend the training, NABITA will allow another individual or individuals from your institution or organization to attend in your place(s). If you do not wish to send someone in your place, you may apply a credit in full toward the cost of a future event, membership purchase or renewal, or other purchase with NABITA. If you do not want to bank a credit with NABITA, your registration will be refunded based on the schedule above. 

ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Registration 

To register at Member Rates, the anticipated attendee must have an active Individual NABITA Membership or the institution/organization must have a Team or Super NABITA Membership at the time of registration. Registration rate is based on your membership status at the time of registration. NABITA will not retroactively apply membership discount rates.

Refunds

NABITA understands that circumstances change and events may arise that prohibit your ability to attend a training after you have registered. Our cancellation and refund policy is outlined below based on your registration:

  • Registration cancellation 10 weeks prior to regular registration deadline = 50% refund on the full registration price
  • Registration cancellation 8 weeks prior to regular registration deadline = 25% refund on the full registration price
  • Registration cancellation 6 weeks prior to regular registration deadline = no refunds on the full registration price

Registration cancellation forfeits training materials and any other associated promotion.

Substitutions

If the originally registered attendee can no longer attend the training, NABITA will allow another individual from your institution to attend in your place OR you may attend a future event with an equivalent registration rate. If you do not wish to send someone in your place or attend a future training event, your registration will be refunded based on the schedule above.
