A Special Combined Talking BITs/Time with IX Presented by the ATIXA & NABITA K-12 Community of Practice.
Join us for an informative community event focused on enhancing collaboration between K-12 schools and law enforcement agencies. This event will explore the critical role law enforcement can play in Behavioral Intervention Teams (BITs), providing insights into how their involvement can support early identification and intervention efforts.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the types of information law enforcement can share to support student safety and well-being. The session will also highlight the function and value of fusion centers or child advocacy centers in facilitating information sharing and situational awareness. Additionally, we will explore how school officials and law enforcement can coordinate effectively during investigations, ensuring both legal compliance and student safety.
