Dr. Brian Van Brunt has worked in the counseling field for more than 25 years, and specializes in educational counseling, behavioral intervention and support, and issues related to mental health and alcohol/substance abuse by students. He possesses significant expertise in the following areas:

He is a past-president of the American College Counseling Association (ACCA) and has served as Brian has served as the director of counseling at New England College and Western Kentucky University. He is a Partner in TNG and the President of the National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment (NABITA).

Dr. Van Brunt is also a prolific writer, having authored numerous books, book chapters, and articles and has been interviewed by the New York TimesNational Public RadioLA TimesUSA Today and has appeared on Headline News and Anderson Cooper 360.  He is a frequently invited keynote speaker and has offered training to law enforcement, homeland security, FBI, college faculty, and staff and a fiction writer, blogger and photographer during his spare time.
