Alison Whitehair serves as Vice President for Student Affairs at West Virginia Wesleyan College, a role she has held since 2021. She joined the institution in 2011 and, in her current position, provides senior leadership for student life and co-curricular programs, with a focus on supporting student development, engagement, and success throughout the collegiate experience. Her work is grounded in a commitment to holistic education and the cultivation of inclusive, supportive campus environments.
Prior to her current role, Alison served as Director of a $10 million Title III Strengthening Institutions grant at West Virginia Wesleyan College, focused on student success and retention. She began her tenure at Wesleyan as Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance and Academic Services.
Alison earned a master’s degree in Sports Psychology from Ithaca College. Her professional background informs her leadership approach, emphasizing student well-being, motivation, and resilience.
