Professional Networking & Engagement Opportunities
No one should navigate prevention, intervention, and school safety work alone. At NABITA, connection is part of the work. We’ve designed spaces to help you build meaningful professional relationships, learn from peers with similar challenges, and stay connected to a purpose-driven community.
Whether you’re looking for one-on-one mentorship, small-group discussions, or ongoing collaboration on a specific focus area, NABITA provides various ways to connect based on your goals, experience, and availability. Explore the options below to learn more.
Mentor Match
Mentor Match is NABITA’s peer-to-peer mentoring program, which is open and free to all NABITA Members. The purpose of Mentor Match is to foster leadership in the field by connecting experienced BIT professionals with newer BIT professionals.
Offered virtually twice a year to NABITA members only.
Communities of Practice
NABITA’s Communities of Practice (CoP) are dynamic, member-driven groups united by a shared focus within the behavioral intervention field. These communities foster collaboration, resource-sharing, and peer support, empowering members to exchange best practices and develop specialized tools tailored to the evolving needs of professionals. All NABITA members are invited to join our communities of practices. Click below to learn about our Civility and Respect CoP and K-12 CoP.
Offered virtually.
Community Connections
Through this discussion-based networking program, we aim to create a robust network for those who desire to share their experiences, advance their skills, expand their knowledge base, and foster new relationships within the BITA field. Community Connections is exclusive to all NABITA members seeking additional connection, collaboration, and support from other BIT professionals.
Offered virtually, twice per year.
Affinity & Community Groups
To foster deeper connections at the NABITA in-person events, we’re facilitating attendee-led groups that bring people together around shared identities, roles, or interests. These groups are welcoming, informal spaces to connect, exchange ideas, and build lasting networks.
Offered in-person only.
Ambassador Alliance
This in-person program pairs seasoned members with newer and first-time conference attendees, helping make the most of their experience at NABITA’s in-person events. As an Ambassador, you’ll play a vital role in welcoming new members to the NABITA community by providing information about membership, training/certification, tools, and resources.
Offered in-person only.
Referral Program
NABITA Member Referral Rewards is a simple way to strengthen our community while earning valuable rewards. When you refer new colleagues or schools, you both gain benefits that support continued learning and engagement. Share the value of NABITA with colleagues and expand a community of schools, workplaces, and institutions focused on prevention, intervention, and safety.
