Addressing student basic needs insecurities and having holistic support options is a critical piece of the work of BIT/CARE teams. This session will explore the occurrence of college students with basic needs insecurities, what options there are to address them, how you can partner with community resources and build capacity around this work on your campus. Specifically, we will cover national survey data around student basic needs insecurities, share examples of one approach to building capacity and gaining momentum on a college campus and illustrate connections between this work, the Behavioral Intervention Team and an institutional culture of care.
