Ashlie transitioned into higher education in 2013, bringing with her a rich foundation built through years of work with youth-focused nonprofits and restorative justice programs. That background continues to inform her approach grounded in harm reduction and solution-centered thinking as she navigates the complex intersection of student care, behavioral intervention, and crisis management.
Throughout her career, Ashlie has contributed meaningfully across a range of higher education settings, including TRiO programs, Academic Advising, Housing, and Testing. Regardless of the role, she has consistently served as a lead or co-lead on campus care and behavioral intervention teams, making that work a foundation of her professional identity.
Much of Ashlie’s expertise has been shaped by her long-standing involvement with NABITA, which she joined in 2013. The knowledge she has gained and the professional relationships she has built through that community remain a cornerstone of her practice and a source of deep professional pride.
Outside of work, Ashlie is a proud wife and parent of two energetic and hilarious kids. A native of Denver, Colorado, she has a deep love for the mountains and takes full advantage of what the region has to offer whether she’s out for a run, hitting the trails, catching a baseball game, or settling in with a good fictional crime novel or true crime series.
She currently works with Arapahoe Community College in the Dean of Students Office as the lead Case Manager for crisis and conduct and Co-chairs the campus Care Team.
