Brian Daniel, Ed.D.

Brian Daniel, Ed.D., has worked in higher education since 2011, beginning his career in Residence Life before transitioning to the Dean of Students work in spring 2022. He currently serves as Associate Dean of Students at UNC Greensboro, where he serves as the director of the Dean of Students Office. Brian leads the University’s bias reporting process and Erase Hate campaign through the Dean of Students Office and provides case management for the University’s Behavioral Assessment Team.

Brian is a certified Stop the Hate trainer through Campus Pride, Inc. He has presented on bias incidents, hate crime intervention, and related topics to college students, Student Affairs divisions, law enforcement agencies, and university faculty, as well as at regional and national conferences. He earned his Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of West Georgia, where his research examined LGBTQ+ students’ awareness and perceptions of their campuses’ bias reporting forms.

Brian has been recognized for his contributions to diversity, inclusion, and belonging by both UNC Greensboro and the Southern Association for College Student Affairs.
