Brikitta Hairston, M.Sc.

Brikitta Hairston is a nationally certified trauma-informed Title IX and Civil Rights Investigator and dedicated anti-discrimination and harassment practitioner. She holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven, a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Iowa, and is a part-time JD Candidate at New England Law Boston, where she is the Vice President for the Women’s Law Caucus and President of the Sexual Violence Law Society that she created. She is passionate about sexual violence prevention and researching prevention education methods for deterring sexual violence in Higher Education. She has presented at multiple international conferences on the topics of sexual violence investigations, identifying risk factors in harassment investigations, and implicit bias in workplace investigations and is a former Tedx New Haven Speaker. She is a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators Diversity and Inclusion Committee and consults for the Conference on Crimes Against Women Advisory Board; she also performs technical training assistance for community organizations like the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center and ICASAHT. When she is not upholding federal civil rights laws and regulations in the workplace, she plays amateur tennis for the USTA Western New England Region and publishes fiction novels under a pen name.
