Sarah serves as the Associate Dean of Students in the Dean of Students Office at the University of Michigan. Her work focuses on providing direct support, resources, and referrals to students who are experiencing life events that are impacting or interrupting their ability to be successful at the University of Michigan. Sarah also develops policies and procedures that outline a comprehensive approach to non-clinical case management, critical incident response, and student support at U-M. She chairs two behavioral intervention teams that bring together various campus partners to discuss appropriate interventions for students who are exhibiting behaviors that are complicated and complex, that involve response from multiple university offices and resources, and/or that are having a significant negative impact on self or the community.
Sarah earned her PhD in Educational Leadership with a focus on Higher Education from Eastern Michigan University in 2023. Her qualitative research focused on the evolution of behavioral intervention and non-clinical case management and the lived experiences of critical incident case managers as student affairs professionals at institutions of higher education.
