Natasha Begin is an educator with over thirteen years of progressive responsibility in higher education. Her experience includes residence life, roles in student conduct, behavioral intervention, crisis response, bias response, civil rights resolution, and Title IX compliance.
Natasha works across TNG, ATIXA, and NABITA as a content developer, creating training curriculum and tools to enhance practitioner knowledge, skills, efficacy, and confidence in fulfilling their roles. Natasha also serves as a presenter and faculty member at TNG.
She has extensive experience working with multiple departments and stakeholders in developing policy and practice that strengthen equity and access for students, faculty, and staff. Prior to joining TNG, Begin served as the Associate Dean and Chief Title IX Officer overseeing Title IX compliance, international students and scholars, bias response, civil rights resolution processes, Clery compliance, case management and leadership of the behavioral intervention team, and served as a senior administrator on-call.
Begin holds a B.A. in Sociology from Saint Anselm College, an M.Ed. in K-12 School Counseling from Lewis and Clark School of Education, and is completing her Ph.D. in Education and Social Change from Bellarmine University’s Annsely Frazier Thornton School of Education. Additionally, Begin served in the Oregon Army National Guard for eight years at the rank of Sergent.
Natasha’s approach to training balances legal and compliance requirements with a personalized understanding of practitioner and institutional needs. Her approach includes engaging critical stakeholders — from cabinet members to parents—to support students and the school community. She provides thoughtful training with empathy, and vision to support and empower practitioners.
A professional highlight is her success leveraging community partnerships and campus stakeholders to develop a student food pantry and an emergency fund supporting basic student needs that continues to serve the campus community to this day.
Natasha resides in Louisville, Kentucky and when not chasing after her rambunctious toddler, can be found hunkered-down completing her dissertation.
