Samy Ráez is a public affairs professional and student support advocate with more than a decade of experience in higher education, nonprofit leadership, and community-based service. In her role with the Office for Student Outreach and Support at The University of Texas at Austin, she supports students navigating academic, financial, and personal challenges through holistic case management and resource coordination.
Samy previously worked in student support and institutional research at Austin Community College and served in disaster relief and community recovery roles with All Hands and Hearts in Nepal following the 2015 earthquake. Samy holds a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, with a focus on leadership psychology and equity-centered policy solutions. She loves hosting community meals every Friday and bike touring with her gal-pals and partner.
