20 Minutes to…Trained: Mandated Assessment

This 20-Minutes to… Trained examines the two most common assessments Behavioral Intervention Teams use. Expert faculty members Kimberly Pacelli, M.Ed., J.D., and Tim Cason, M.Ed.,  explore best practices for employing mandated assessments, including when and who is best to conduct one. Specific discussion regarding the handoff from BIT to a possible administrative or conduct process and encouraging voluntary student compliance is a central topic in this training. This is a great training opportunity for those new to a BIT or practitioners who want to better understand how mandatory assessments can effectively be used in K-12 or higher education settings.
